Concrete pump rental is quite common for concrete contractors that place concrete everyday, but how often you rent a concrete pump truck may determine if it's time to buy a concrete pump truck. There are many equipment rental companies who offer smaller concrete pump rentals for the contractor who wants to pump the concrete himself. For most contractors and homeowners it's much easier to rent the concrete pumping equipment from a business that owns their own concrete pump truck with a trained concrete pump operator. When I need to rent a pump truck, I have 4 local concrete pumping companies I can call. I just call and tell them when I'm pouring and what time of day. If that works for their schedule they schedule me in, if they are busy I just call another pumping company until I find one that works best for my schedule. When I rent a concrete boom pump truck, the rate is usually $800.00 dollars for the first 4 hours and $100.00 dollars an hour after that. When I rent a concrete trailer pump the rate is $550.00 dollars for the first 4 hours and $100.00 dollars an hour after that. Both those rates include a trained concrete pump operator.
