What do you use to pump concrete up to a high rise?

One of the most important tools used for construction in today’s day and age are concrete pumps. These ‘behemoths’ have drastically cut down on the need to invest in a lot of manual labour to transfer concrete to various spots at a construction site. More importantly, with high-rises becoming a common feature in cities and towns, the boom concrete pump greatly helps.

During the construction of high rise buildings, one of the major challenges that were faced by the contractors in the yester-years was that they had to involve a lot of manual labour to transfer the concrete mix up there on the higher floors. The picture these days are not that difficult. Today, the best way to pump concrete mix to high rise buildings is by using concrete pumps. These pumps are designed to alleviate the manual labour and make the construction work much faster.

There are two types of concrete pumps which are used by the contractors these days. The first one which is also the more common is called a boom pump. A boom concrete pump is typically attached to a truck and has a robotic arm. This arm can be controlled to transfer concrete precisely; anywhere in the construction site including when building high-rises. Heavily powered, these arms reach the exact height that the builder wants.
The second type of concrete pumps is called trailer concrete pumps. For transferring concrete to high floors of a high rise building,it is the boom pump that comes handy. The long articulated robotic arm of the boom pumps transfer the concrete to greatest heights in a matter of minutes.
